Prime is the study of Quintessence, literally the Fifth Essence, exalted above the other four elements of Western Hermetic magick. Regardless of the naming and accounting, Prime is the raw stuff of True Magick. It exists everywhere, and all things are composed of it, though some sources are easier to work than others.
System
Etheric Senses. The mage can perceive Nodes, ley lines, Tass, Junctures, and prime-charged objects and creatures. Further, without Prime 1, a mage cannot 'store' more Quintessence than their Avatar rating.
Weave Odyllic Force, Fuel Pattern. The mage can divert small streams to flow differently through the cosmos, reweaving them into Platonic ideals -- items composed solely of Quintessence and visible to those with magickal senses. These items exist in the etheric, spiritual, and astral planes all at once. Prime 2 is also used to 'fuel' the other Pattern magicks, allowing objects to be created from 'nothing.'
Channel Quintessence. The mage can absorb free Quintessence from a Node, or transfer Quintessence between targets. This rank is the main prerequisite for Talisman recharging.
Expel Base Energy. The Adept of Prime can pull Quintessence out of Patterns of Matter and Forces, utterly destroying them. With conjunctional effects, the magick may be worked with greater precision, destroying only certain aspects of the Pattern.
Alter Flow. Masters of Prime can alter established flows of raw Quinessence -- those flowing through Life Patterns. They can stop or increase this flow. Stopping the flow of Quintessence to a living target does aggravated damage.
