The Sphere of Mind covers the manifold powers attributed to the human mind itself. It doesn not include the physiological processes of the organic brain. Mind Arts transcend biology for the raw essence of intelligent thought -- generally.

Sense Thoughts & Emotions, Empower Self. The mage can sense the thoughs and emotions in the air around her. She cannot yet read the, but can sense their intensity. The mage may also read the psychic impressions left on objects, getting 'vibes' from it. This includes the Resonance attacked to Tass or the aura of a Quintessential wellspring at a Node or Juncutre. Without Prime 2, though, she can't appraise the strength of the Primeflow itself. Finally, the mage can 'shield' her mind against unwanted visitors. Read Surface Thoughts, Mental Impulse. The mage may read the thoughts around her, as well as read thoughts 'attached' to objects (basic psychometry). She can scan the surface thoughts of unshielded minds, the emotional intensity being proportionate to the 'volume' of the sound. Mages can also send out simple thoughts or impulses, 'beaming' them into their target's subconscious mind. Mental Link, Walk Among Dreams. The mage can now establish a clear link between her mind and those of others, using this link for telepathic communications or invasions. She may project false perceptions and illusions, and may even 'psychicly assault' her target. the mage may also contact the minds of other dreamers in her sleep and begin to explore the Dream Realms. While waking, she may also use her abilities to enter the dreaming consciousness of others. Control Conscious Mind, Walk Amoung Dreams. The Mind Adept can take over another person's mind and occupy his body. Once there, she may control her victim directly (possess him), cure or cause insanity, change his memories, or set up posthypnotic suggestions. The subject's aura may be completely 'rewritten.' Further, the character may leave her dreams behind and make brief excursions into the astral reaches. Control Subconscious, Untether, Forge Psyche. Masters of Mind rule not only their own minds, but others as well. Throught his power, a Master may invade not only the conscious mind but the subconscious, completely rewriting the underlying personality until the thoughts which compose it bear no resemblance to anything that existed before, utterly changing the person's Nature. The mage may also divorce a psyche from the body, switch minds between subjects, and merge, copy or transfer the entire sum of a person's memories and knowledges from one body to another. She may increase another's intelligence and wits to genius level (5 dots) and may increase her own beyond that. Complete astral travel is possible, and the Master can leave her body for days at a atime. The greatest power, though, of the Mind Master, is to create true conscious thought. Computers or other inanimate objects, such as the shells created by Life Masters, may be given sentience.
