You receive an extra die on rolls that involve abstract ideas or complex magic. Clarifications: This merit grants one extra die on Abilities Assisting Magick rolls and Awareness rolls that enhance or detect complex magickal effects. This DOES NOT grant an extra die of Arete. The merit grants one extra die on rolls involving abstract ideas: This is any attribute+ability rolls that is not done to create, detect, or resist something; or to perform a physical feat of any sort. Using Medicine to heal someone is not Abstract. Using Bureaucracy to determine the best way to get something done is Abstract. This is hard to pin down, and will still largely be the ST's call.
